Abstract
Objective: The aim is to approach slave labor in contemporary Brazil, making an interrelationship between capitalism and slave labor, apprehending the precept of dignity of the philosopher Immanuel Kant.
Method: It was decided to use bibliographical and documentary research, hence the methodology allows the necessary contributions to the present research.
Results: Brazil was the last country in the world to abolish slavery. However, it is verified that semi-working is characterized by the restriction of the freedom of the worker, leaving the employer to observe the necessary conditions so that the human being can work in a dignified way, respecting their fundamental rights and guarantees.
Conclusion: It is inferred from the research, a need to reposition the person of the worker, as the central subject of the hierarchical order, in order to concretize their rights with measures that deal with the dignity of the human person, by means of the fight against semi-slavery, sustained work by the excess of the capitalist system.
